![]() ![]() Today, I’m reviewing the series The Legend of Legendary Heroes brought to you by our friends at FUNimation. I wouldn’t say it’s bad to have a power such as that, but keeping the power inside of you will be one hard task. When it comes to being in an adventure, everyone wants to be the hero, right? I mean, who wouldn’t want to plan out a grand adventure, kill some bad guys, and save the day? But what if your hero had the power to kill everyone, and you tried your best to keep that power from awakening? That’s what we seem to have here in the anime series The Legend of Legendary Heroes. I can only hope that we get further than in the anime. This manga has recently become one of my favorites. However, as it stands now, I have to give this an 8 because it's going to end just like the anime, before the actual ending. It would be better if they made more manga or tried publishing the novels professionally in english. though I think that may be because it is translated by some really nice fans instead of professionals. The light novels were hard for me to get into, and felt amaturish. It is true that the comedy is dry in many situations. The story has plenty of depth and is full of people with different ambitions and reasons to align with certain characters no matter if they are considered good or bad and there is always something bigger just beyond our current understanding that begins to take shape as time goes on. The art style is more dark in the manga than it is in the anime but that isn't off putting to me at all. I was hopeful that the manga would complete the story but I found out that it does not, which is a letdown for me, but I still plan to read it through because it's good and has a few good differences within it from the anime. However, the translations on the manga are not as far as the anime. I watched the anime first and then read the manga cause the ending of the anime is such that there has to be more. I enjoy most fantasy and supernatural stories. It has a good balance of seriousness and humor. Because judging from the manga, this has been abysmal. I can't help but wonder how good the novel is, for it to receive such high review in MAL, and the fact that it received an anime adaptation. A lot of drama and gore inserted here and there with no cohesion to the entire theme of the manga that it just felt distasteful and ridiculous. I've been marathoning to the 3rd volume and it is still unclear where exactly the author is going with the manga. There is nothing much to add, once you notice the characters glaring flaw, the whole manga just collapsed on its own. I could go on, but even describing this far has been a pain for me. The osananajimi is just a token loli crossover with team rocket with no personality whatsoever. The best friend has no substance in his character other than being perfect and always smilind and scheming. tsundere side? tsun-tsun-tsun-tsundere? Sadist-dere? screw it, there is nothing dere about her. What about the rest? We have a token companion swordwoman who is dazzlingly pretty (at least in the description) with a. even Shikamaru will look at him and kick him in the nuts. his endearing trait is his penchant for slacking off, but no, this is not the charming lazy hero. The only barely likable character is probably the main character, but even that is stretching it, apart from today's usual shujinko imba super power, there is nothing else to say about him. This manga is filled with character so pigeonholed to the extreme, so lacking in depth, that it is even repulsive to try to relate to them. Let's go straight to the characters, the deal breaker in this manga. I was hoping much for this manga after reading some of the comments in the manga site I frequented, but was greeted with a very pedestrian manga, plastered with one of the worst character set I have ever encountered. ![]()
